Opera Theatre’s season of timeless classics and bold new works is only possible thanks to our generous community of supporters. Due to the intimate size of our theater, ticket sales cover less than 25% of expenses. Friends of the Festival help us make up the difference each year with gifts starting at $50 — less than $5 per month!

Friends of the Festival membership benefits are based on a yearly gift to OTSL’s operating fund and are renewed annually. Benefits with an assigned market value will reduce the tax deductibility of your gift. Enhanced recognition and donor benefits are available through OTSL’s Patron Program for donors who contribute $2,500 or above.

Giving Societies
National Patrons Council
Opera Theatre’s National Patrons Council (NPC) is a group of generous friends from around the country who encourage ongoing national support for OTSL.
Council members help OTSL understand key issues and trends in opera, providing important guidance and perspective for the company. NPC members help direct our efforts to raise the company’s national profile, elevate artistic quality, and advance the careers of outstanding young American artists.
Donors who make an annual gift of $2,500 or more are eligible for National Patrons Council.

Intermezzo Society
Opera Theatre’s Intermezzo Society offers fun opportunities throughout the year to build connections in the St. Louis community and discover new voices in opera. Members have access to behind-the-scenes previews, often being the first to learn about OTSL’s upcoming performances and meeting our talented artists. Intermezzo events include A Toast to Opera, a cocktail party featuring performances from Opera Theatre artists, and several Intermezzo Night at the Opera outings during the 2022 Festival Season.
Intermezzo Society membership begins at $600 annually, or $50 per month. All Intermezzo Society gifts directly support the engagement of new and diverse voices in opera.
