Music! Words! Opera! is a national curriculum for grades K-8, perfect for interdisciplinary study. In addition to exploring some of the greatest operas ever composed, each level of the curriculum joins music together with content areas such as communication arts, science, mathematics, English, world studies, and fine arts — making it ideal for teaching teams!

Workshop highlights include attending a live OTSL performance, conversations with OTSL principal singers and artistic staff, networking and collaboration with peers, and developing tools and strategies for creating original musicals and operas with your students. This year’s

Teachers’ Workshop explores Rossini’s fairytale favorite, La Cenerentola. The week is led by national trainers and authors of the M! W! O! curriculum, Roger Ames and Clifford Brooks.

Join us for the 2019 Music! Words! Opera! Teachers’ Workshop, held June 17–19 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Sally S. Levy Opera Center. For more information, call (314) 963-4250 or email 250@opera-stl.org.
