Stephanie Blythe

A renowned opera singer and recitalist, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe is considered one of the most highly respected and critically acclaimed artists of her generation. Her repertoire ranges from Handel to Wagner, German lieder to contemporary and classic American song. Ms. Blythe has performed on many of the world's great stages, such as Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Paris National Opera and San Francisco, Chicago Lyric and Seattle Operas. Ms. Blythe was named Musical America's Vocalist of the Year in 2009, received an Opera News Award in 2007 and won the Tucker Award in 1999. In 2014, Ms. Blythe created the role of Gertrude Stein in the world-premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s 27.

Harolyn Blackwell

One of the brightest stars on stages in the US and abroad, charismatic soprano Harolyn Blackwell has been hailed by audiences and critics alike as a “model of agility, spunk, charm and silvery tone.” Recognized for her expressive and exuberant performances, as well as for her radiant voice, she has enjoyed a wide and varied career on opera, concert and recital stages of the world. Ms. Blackwell is a graduate of the Chicago Lyric Opera young artist program, and made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 1987 in Massenet’s Manon. She has performed with many of the major national and international opera companies and at festivals around the world, including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival, Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires, San Francisco Opera, Netherlands Opera, Opéra de Nice, and Aix-en-Provence Festival. Ms Blackwell is currently a member of the voice faculty at NYU Steinhardt and Barnard College/Columbia University.
