Presenting the 2015 Festival Season Share

Main Performance

Theres a good reason its one of the worlds most popular operas! Rossini’s zany and sparkling score sets the gold standard for opera that is fresh, elegant, funny, and brimming with vocal fireworks. Delight as the young barber Figaro helps Count Almaviva steal the beautiful Rosina from under the nose of her doddering guardian. St. Louis’s own Ryan McAdams (2013’s The Pirates of Penzance) conducts, and Michael Shell (2012’s Cosí fan tutte) directs this co-production with Opera Philadelphia. “One big lollipop for the eyes… the production created an environment that simply made you want to be there.”   — Philadelphia Inquirer
