    Illuminating Opera with Amy Kaiser

    For four Thursday mornings in April, St. Louis Symphony Chorus Director Amy Kaiser takes you behind the music for each of our 2012 operas.  This exhilarating musical investigation of each opera is offered at the Sally S. Levy Opera Center.  A subscription to this program is available for $70. Tickets can be added to your subscription purchase when you order. Single tickets, if available, will go on sale in late February, 2012. Space is limited.

    Spotlight on Opera

    This informative series features an engaging array of invited experts (including conductors, directors, and designers) and performances by our Gerdine Young Artists.  Programs held at the Ethical Society at 9001 Clayton Road (63117) on select Mondays at 7:30 pm, during May.  Tickets for the full series are just $30 (for all four sessions). Tickets to individual Spotlight events are available for $10 and can be purchased starting in the spring of 2012.

    Each year renowned artists share insights with Opera Theatre’s Gerdine Young Artists.  Past classes have been led by Brian Zeger, Artistic Director of the Department of Vocal Arts, The Juilliard School and Executive Director, Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, and Gayletha Nichols, Director of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Details on the 2012 classes will be announced in February.
