One year after The Marriage of Figaro was acclaimed in Vienna, Don Giovanni triumphed in Prague. Don Juan has seduced well over two thousand women in five countries; it’s a darker story than Figaro (this hero dies in flames) but Mozart’s music is just as spectacular. Daniel Okulitch is Giovanni, with Maria Kanyova as Donna Anna. James Robinson directs and Jane Glover returns to conduct.
