St. Louis, MO — Full of passion, romance, and revelation, Opera Theatre’s 2011 spring season opens Saturday, May 21 and continues for 28 performances through Sunday, June 26. Much-anticipated debut artists join Opera Theatre favorites for all new productions of Mozart’s revolutionary Don Giovanni, Donizetti’s lively comedy The Daughter of the Regiment, the company’s first-ever production of Debussy’s haunting romance Pelléas and Mélisande, and the first U.S. staged production of John Adams’s The Death of Klinghoffer since the opera’s original 1991 production.
Opera Theatre of Saint Louis announces that soprano Corinne Winters will return as Mélisande in the company’s new production of Pelléas and Mélisande which runs from June 5 through June 24, 2011. Earlier this week, the company announced that soprano Kelly Kaduce will not perform as scheduled in the title role because she and her husband, baritone Lee Gregory, are expecting their first child in early July.

Following an extensive national search, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis has announced the appointment of Joe Gfaller as the company’s first Director of Marketing and Public Relations. The new management team position will begin in time for the launch of single ticket sales on Saturday, February 26th.
