Seasonal Positions
Seasonal employees of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis get a behind-the-scenes look at an internationally acclaimed and fast-paced festival opera season, which opens at the end of May and runs through the end of June at the Loretto-Hilton Center on the campus of Webster University.
Front of House and Box Office Staff
Most front of house and box office employees start in mid-May and finish the last week of June.  Everyone works onsite at the Loretto-Hilton Center, and evening hours are required for most positions.  See below for job descriptions and click on the position title to complete an application form.
Production Staff
Production positions are competitive and provide excellent training for anyone pursuing a career in technical theatre.  Crews include deck, wardrobe, orchestra, electrics, and properties.


TITLE DESCRIPTION
Front of House - Clean-up Crew Clean-up crew members are responsible for post-performance upkeep of the grounds, including cleaning tables and chairs.  They also work with house management to pre-set the tents for special events.  Clean-up crew works during the day so this position may be combined with another front of house job.

Front of House - Greeter Greeters welcome patrons to the theater and provide assistance on the circle parking drive.  A courteous and helpful attitude is essential.


Front of House - Parking Lot Attendant Parking attendants set up the paid lots three to four hours before each performance and oversee patron and staff access to the lots.  A courteous attitude is essential and cash handling and reconciliation experience is helpful.  Uniform shirts are provided.

Front of House - Pavilion Cashier Duties primarily consist of selling concession tickets in the lobby and tent and assisting with upkeep of the grounds and theater. Cashiers must be able to make change quickly and balance their cash boxes.  A helpful and courteous attitude is essential.

Front of House - Usher Staff The usher staff reports to house management and assists with patron seating, upkeep of the grounds and theater, and other customer service issues.  A courteous and helpful attitude is required.
